How to Make a No-Sew Face Covering

Create a comfortable face covering with an old t-shirt and a pair of scissors.

Follow this tutorial by sewing expert Sophia Palmer from Sew Jessalli

How to make

Step 1

Get your t-shirt and lay it out flat.

Step 2

Measure 20cm up from the bottom hem and cut across the whole t-shirt.

Step 3

Cut off any labels that might be inside.

Step 4

If you have side seams on your t-shirt, fold it so the seams are on top of each other in the middle.

Step 5

On one end measure 3cm from the top, 19cm from the side and 3cm from the bottom. Mark these three lines so they make a rectangle from the folded outer edge.

Step 6

Cut the marked rectangle out.

Step 7

Snip the folded parts of the outer edges left to form the ties.

Step 8

Your mask is ready to wear, tied behind your head.
