1 Black Mini Hot Melt Glue Gun
1 Milward Rose Gold Stork Embroidery Scissors
1 ReTwisst Yellow Macrame String 5mm 500g
1 Mirror Plate 25cm
1 Bamboo Embroidery Hoop 9 Inches
Step 1
Undo the embroidery hoop and place the outer ring to the side. We will only be using the inner circle on this project.
Step 2
Cut 60 x 80cm lengths. Fold each length in half and attach to hoop using the Lark’s Head knot.
Step 3
Divide strings into 10 groups of 12 strings.
Step 4
Take the 1st group and work 3 square knots.
Step 5
Work a row of alternate knots
Step 6
Work a final square knot with the central 4 strings.
Step 7
Using string 1 as a guide, work a row of double half hitch knots to the centre.
Step 8
Repeat on the other side, including the previous guide string.
Step 9
Repeat steps 4 to 8 for all groups.
Step 10
Now you will work in between each group. Work a square knot with the central strings.
Step 11
With the next string on the left as a guide, work a row of double half hitch knots with the next 2 strings. Repeat on the other side, then work double half hitch knot with previous guide.
Step 12
Repeat steps 10-11 until all sections have been worked.
Step 13
Cut each string to approx. 5cm in length
Step 14
Brush out the strings and trim to neaten.
Step 15
Using a hot glue gun, place glue around the hoop on the back of the work and place the mirror on top and press down. Work as quickly as possible. Add extra glue if any spots were missed. Either thread a short piece of cord through the top of the mirror and tie together to hang up or attach command strips to the back of the mirror to hang up.
